AFPA VPN

Project Genesis

The AFPA VPN project was born from a crucial need of AFPA (Association for Adult Vocational Training) to provide its trainees with secure access to the organization's internal resources, especially when working remotely. As a trainee within AFPA, I was tasked with designing and implementing a VPN solution adapted to these needs.

The main objective was to create a website where trainees could easily download and configure the VPN client on their devices. I worked closely with AFPA's IT team to understand the technical requirements and security constraints related to setting up a VPN.

The website development involved creating a simple and intuitive user interface, allowing users to follow clear instructions to install the VPN client. I also ensured the site was secure and compliant with privacy standards to protect user data.

Parallel to the site development, I participated in the configuration of the VPN server itself, using OpenVPN on a Linux server. This step required a deep understanding of security protocols and best practices to ensure a reliable and secure connection for users.

In the end, the AFPA VPN project allowed AFPA to offer its trainees an effective solution to access internal resources securely, while improving their user experience thanks to a well-designed and easy-to-use website.
